Meet the Team

Dr Natalie Rouillard, Vet

Natalie grew up in South Africa. Her love of animals as well as medicine drew her to veterinary science from a young age, and she qualified from university of Pretoria in 2002. Natalie worked in South Africa and the UK before settling in Australia. She has worked at Karratha Vet Hospital for the last few years, where her area of special interest is ultrasonography and imaging. Her two young sons keep her pretty busy, but she also enjoys hiking and swimming when she can.

Dr Katy Davis, Vet

Dr Katy arrived to us for four weeks in 2018, we just can’t seem to scare her away. Katy has a love for cows but is happy to treat all animals great and small. Born and raised in the Pilbara, she is now enjoying showing her two young daughters the beauty of growing up in such a unique part of Australia. Katy loves all things about being a rural vet and is as comfortable in the surgery as she is on the road seeing clients in our isolated small towns. Outside of work you will likely find her wherever water is.

Kara, Nurse Manager

A life-long lover of animal science, Kara turned to veterinary nursing after having previously invested time on other passions such as youth work, entertaining and home-schooling her children. Kara joined the Pets and Vets team in early 2017 when her family moved to Karratha. She enjoys volunteering at animal shelters, reptile and wildlife parks and plans to further develop her education in a broad range of veterinary avenues including captive animals, wildlife and marine biology. Outside of the animal world, Kara loves music, running, go-karting and going on adventures with her family and their dog, Jarvis.

Claudia, Vet Nurse

Claudia moved to Karratha in 2016 with her partner and their dog Dexter, a big energetic American Staffy x Bulldog. Claudia began studying her Cert IV in vet nursing at the beginning of 2017 and she began working at Karratha Vet Hospital as a volunteer at first but is now a part-timer whilst she finishes her Cert IV. In her spare time. She enjoys going to the beach, fishing and hanging out with her dog.

Jenna, Vet Nurse

Jenna moved to the Pilbara in 2018 with her family along with her German Shepherd, Spoodle and cat. She became a veterinary nurse after deciding to combine her love for animals and interest in veterinary medicine to develop a new career path.

When not at the clinic Jenna enjoys taking time to do arts and crafts such as painting. Her other hobbies include playing video games and baking lots of sweet things.
