Dr Ashleigh D’Alonzo, Vet

Ashleigh started working for Karratha Vet Hospital in January 2017. Her interests include exotic species and soft tissue surgery. When she is not working, she is taking care of her menagerie of pets or exploring the world. She loves all things nerdy and is waiting for the day that can genetically modify chickens back into dinosaurs!

Dr Tim Lloyd, Vet

Tim has joined Karratha Vet Hospital as a new grad vet in January 2018 where he has taken to all the small animal needs and has a special interest in orthopaedics. He has begun cattle work on local stations, seeing to the horses in town and is also looking after the thoroughbred race rounds of Roebourne and Marble Bar.

With a love for getting his hands dirty and anything outdoors: red dirt, the sea, boating, fishing and camping. Tim is loving his time in Karratha.

Dr Natalie Rouillard, Vet

Natalie grew up in South Africa. Her love of animals as well as medicine drew her to veterinary science from a young age, and she qualified from university of Pretoria in 2002. Natalie worked in South Africa and the UK before settling in Australia. She has worked at Karratha Vet Hospital for the last few years, where her area of special interest is ultrasonography and imaging. Her two young sons keep her pretty busy, but she also enjoys hiking and swimming when she can.

Laura, Practice Admin Manager

Laura has always had a passion for unusual animals; from growing up with a snake, frogs, rabbits, rats and birds, to studying wildlife biology and marine science. Since 2013, vet nursing at Karratha Vet Hospital has given her the chance to work with a variety of pets, as well as kangaroos, eagles and monitor lizards, and she now works as practice admin manager. When not working, Laura loves snorkelling, beachcombing and fishing, or curling up with a good book, with her dog, cats and baby boy.

Kara, Vet Nurse

A life-long lover of animal science, Kara turned to veterinary nursing after having previously invested time on other passions such as youth work, entertaining and home-schooling her children. Kara joined the Pets and Vets team in early 2017 when her family moved to Karratha. She enjoys volunteering at animal shelters, reptile and wildlife parks and plans to further develop her education in a broad range of veterinary avenues including captive animals, wildlife and marine biology. Outside of the animal world, Kara loves music, running, go-karting and going on adventures with her family and their dog, Jarvis.

Bree, Vet Nurse

Bree grew up in Bunbury, before moving to Perth to complete her Animal Studies course and commencing work as a trainee veterinary nurse while studying certificate IV in Veterinary nursing.

She moved to Karratha and first joined Karratha Veterinary Hospital team in February 2014 as a qualified vet nurse.

Bree has two gorgeous cats Kaleb and Mila who were both adopted through SAFE (Save Animal From Euthanasia), Kaleb was lucky cat no 3000 to be adopted by Karratha SAFE!

She loves being in a job where she gets to work with such amazing animals every day and enjoying teaching all the new puppies at puppy preschool.

Taylah, Vet Nurse

Taylah started working for Karratha Vet Hospital in August 2016. Taylah became a Vet Nurse due to her interest in and love for wildlife. She hopes that her nursing will one day lead her into the wildlife industry and her dream is to become a zoo keeper. Taylah is the proud mum of a Pilbara special puppy, two cats and two chickens. When she is not at work she can be found hanging out with her furry family, exploring the Pilbara or volunteering for wildlife programs.

Kaye, Vet Nurse

Kaye has worked for the Pets and Vets group since 2001 first at Lockyer Avenue Veterinary Hospital in Albany and now with Karratha Vet Hospital when she moved to Wickham with her family 4 years ago.

Kaye and her husband Gavin have 2 boys Diesel and Jaxon and a beloved bull arab called Tikka.

She loves working with all patients and their owners, and has a special love of bull terriers.

Jacinda, Vet Nurse

Jacinda has worked as a vet nurse for the past 10 years and feels very lucky to have such a rewarding job caring for animals. Jacinda is also a mum to Hamish and Monique. She moved to Karratha in 2017 and they are enjoying the sunny Pilbara lifestyle. Jacinda loves being the weekend nurse at Karratha Vet Hospital.

Claudia, Trainee Vet Nurse

Claudia moved to Karratha in 2016 with her partner and their dog Dexter, a big energetic American Staffy x Bulldog. Claudia began studying her Cert IV in vet nursing at the beginning of 2017 and she began working at Karratha Vet Hospital as a volunteer at first but is now a part-timer whilst she finishes her Cert IV. In her spare time. She enjoys going to the beach, fishing and hanging out with her dog.

Tess, Receptionist

Tess relocated to Karratha with her partner in 2017. She has always had a strong passion for animals and animal welfare and loves working at reception where she has daily contact with pets and our clients.. She has a beautiful, yet very slobbery, 2 year old Dogue de Bordeaux called Mya.
